Detailed Biography of
Dennis Cronin
 Dennis Cronin is the audit partner of Scott and Cronin. After graduating from the University of New Orleans with honors as a member of Beta Alpha Psi his career began with Pannell, Kerr, and Forster. Mr. Cronin supervised audits of some of New Orleans finest and well-known hotels and restaurants including the Hilton Riverside, Fairmont Roosevelt and Monteleone Hotel. In 1985 Mr. Cronin and his family moved to San Diego eventually partnering with Larry Scott. Mr. Cronin is a member of the Louisiana State Board of Certified Public Accountants and the California State Board of Accountancy where he is licensed to practice. Mr. Cronin holds Series 7 & 66 securities licenses and is a register rep of Rydex.
As audit partner Mr. Cronin’s responsibilities include accounting and auditing services and quality control for the firm. Under Mr. Cronin’s direction the firm successfully completed AICPA independent peer reviews every three years since its inception in 1992 including the most recent in 2004. A team appointed by the California Society of CPAs under the AICPA’s guidelines conducts the reviews.
With over 20 years of experience Mr. Cronin has worked with some of the most experienced and honored companies in the San Diego area. Scott & Cronin have performed over 50 audits for companies in the real estate development, construction, technology, retail and not-for-profit industries located on the West Coast.
Mr. Cronin’s background experience in audit and tax offers an excellent combination of services strictly tailored for closely held companies located in the Southern California area. His extensive knowledge includes an understanding of the complex and current financial reporting issues and requirements under GAAP and GAAS along with IRS and State tax rules and regulations for closely held companies, including the benefits of C Corps, S Corps, LLCs and partnerships and the inter workings of these entities with the individual owners.
