Larry Scott
Managing Partner
After starting his career with Price Waterhouse in both
the tax and auditing departments, Mr. Scott formed his
own practice in 1978. He has worked extensively in real
estate transactions and strategies and the use of partnerships
and LLCs. Since 1988 he has served as treasurer to numerous campaign
committees including the former Governor of California,
several U.S. Senators, U.S. Congressmen, State Assemblymen,
the current mayor of San Diego and Sheriff. Mr. Scott also served as treasurer of Prop 49 sponsored by California State Govenor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Mr. Scott
holds a Series 7 & 66 securities licenses in addition
to being licensed as a CPA in California.

Dennis Cronin
Audit Partner
Under his direction the firm successfully completed
independent peer reviews conducted by a team appointed
by the California Society of CPAs in 2001, 1998, 1995
and 1992. He holds Series 7 & 66 securities licenses,
is a registered rep of LPL and is licensed as a CPA
in California.

Jason Brustkern
Partner
Jason has a balanced, long-term focus on the growth and development of both the tax and audit sides of the firm. He graduated with a BA in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and has been a practicing CPA for 8 years. His work includes tax and auditing with an emphasis in high-net-worth individuals, multi entity tax structures and large entities. Jason is also responsible for supervision of tax team members and the technological direction of the practice.
He resides in San Diego with his wife. Together they enjoy participating in various outdoor activities and traveling. They are also actively involved in fundraising events benefiting After School All-Stars and the Challenged Athletes Foundation. |

Seth Gibeaut
CPA

Seth began his accounting career in the Seattle, WA area, learning both tax and auditing at Arthur Andersen and Clark Nuber. He later tested the waters of Boulder, CO focusing on tax work for Brett Smith Associates only to find minimal waters in Boulder. Seth joined Scott & Cronin LLP in 2004 where the emphasis of his work has been on both individual and entity taxes.
Seth has a Business Administration and Accounting degree from the University of Washington. He always looks forward to his annual trips to Petco Park to watch his Seattle Mariners take on the Padres; clearly some habits die hard. He still praises his good fortune to be spending his weekends in t-shirts and flip flops throughout the year. |

Mark Zeltser
MBA
Mark joined the Scott & Cronin Audit Department in the fall of 2009. His work involves performing financial statement audits, audit reviews and the preparation of tax returns. Prior to joining the firm, Mark lived in the New Jersey/New York area, where as an auditor for Rothstein Kass and Co. he specialized in hedge funds and fund of funds.
Mark has a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from Monmouth University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Pace University. His favorite pastimes are watching and playing hockey and football. He has recently become a dodge ball enthusiast, playing in a local league. A native of New Jersey, Mark misses the turning of seasons, but looks forward to enjoying the outdoors year round in the Golden State. |

Ariann Jovanovic
Tax & Accounting
Ariann joined Scott & Cronin’s Tax & Accounting Department in January 2008. Her responsibilities include preparing tax returns and assisting in the completion of audits and reviews.
She received her BA in public accounting from Augsburg College in Minneapolis and worked with Lawrence Parkhurst, PA before she and her husband relocated to San Diego in 2007.
Ariann enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and getting to know the state of California and the San Diego area. She has volunteered annually each summer since 1999 in Honduras working with disadvantaged children and is currently establishing relationships with a variety of local organizations. |

Melinda Ries
Tax & Accounting
Melinda joined the Scott & Cronin team in early 2010. She has both public and private accounting experience, but her main focus has been on tax accounting. A University of California graduate, Melinda has a BS with an emphasis in accountancy.
Melinda has lived locally her whole life and likes being active in the “Sunny San Diego” climate. Taking full advantage of the weather, she enjoys playing recreational sports and hanging out on the beach. The cooler seasons find her off snowboarding or traveling abroad. Her favorite travel destinations have included Peru and London. |
Jordan Cronin
Tax & Audit
Jordan joined Scott & Cronin full-time in January 2010 after training as an intern for a year. He graduated from San Diego State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy. Jordan looks forward to beginning his career with the firm and gaining experience in the tax and accounting industry. He plans to obtain his CPA license in the near future.
Jordan was born and raised in San Diego and plans on staying local for many years. He grew up playing hockey and in his spare time enjoys riding his bike, playing drums and snowboarding at any chance he can get. |
Nancy
Haley
Political Finance Director
Nancy is the Director of the firm’s Political Reporting Unit. She supervises a staff of Political Reporting Specialists who are responsible for preparing complicated federal, state and local campaign, lobbying, and “major donor” financial disclosure reports. The division seeks to help its clients achieve their political goals while avoiding enforcement pitfalls.
In addition to providing daily bookkeeping, payroll, tax and election law compliance to her clients involved in the political and legislative process, Nancy is frequently invited to participate in panel discussions regarding the applications of such laws. Her expertise in financial disclosure has been valuable to students at SDSU and UCSD Extension, professionals at the California Association of Realtors and LEAD San Diego.
Prior to joining Scott & Cronin in 1997, she spent 10 years working extensively in the field of campaign management and fundraising. She has worked for numerous public officials and political organizations at all levels of government.
Nancy received her BA in Public Administration with a concentration in Political Science from San Diego State University. She is involved in a number of civic and political organizations in San Diego County and is an active member
of the California Political Treasurers Association.
Nancy resides in Carlsbad and spends her fee time traveling, cooking and enjoying various outdoor activities. |

Beth Reno
Political Finance Specialist
As a recent addition to Scott & Cronin LLP, Beth brings a broad background in both the corporate and political environments of Southern California. With 30 years experience for a San Diego based media and entertainment company Beth rose from bookkeeper and vice president of operations to become an Officer of the Company as Secretary and Treasurer. Her political experience spans well over 25 years from grass roots participation to full campaign responsibilities as Treasurer for a number of politicians in Southern California.
Having worked for Killer Tomato Entertainment since its inception Beth has been an integral part of the Killer Tomato franchise and films. A devotee of the Comic-Con experience Beth is an avid collector of snow globes and action figures. |

Lori
Jacobs
Firm Administrator
Lori is the Firm's Administrator and handles the daily business functions of the organization. Her primary responsibilities include managing client billing, accounts receiveables and payables as well as coordinating human resources activities.
Before joining Scott & Cronin
in 1999, she spent ten years as a partner in a
political consulting
firm
and specialized in campaign bookkeeping and financial
reporting. Prior to Lori’s involvement in the
political arena she enjoyed a career in banking,
specializing in project management in consumer lending.
Lori
has a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA and
has worked for and volunteered on numerous political
staffs and committees. She lives with her husband
Steve on a ranch in Valley Center with their horses,
dogs,
cats and flock of ducks. They devote their leisure time to ballroom dancing, tennis and enjoying the backcountry on Lori's Champion Arabians and Steve's Harley. |

Tracy McGraw
Office Manager
Tracy joined Scott & Cronin LLP in September 2004, and brings with her a wealth of knowledge in the area of administration. Her background includes significant office management experience in Biotech and financial institutions, as well as international purchasing and shipping experience. Her primary responsibility is office management and general support to the Firm's five CPA's and two partners.
Tracy lives with her husband Richard in Cardiff By The Sea. Her primary outside interests are focused on Peruvian Paso horses. She is a Director of the Southern California Peruvian Paso Horse Club and has been competing on the show circuit for 15 years. As time permits Tracy and Richard are developing a twenty acre ranch in the mountains above Palm Springs. |
